Bonding
Bonding is simply the name for the procedure used to repair a tooth that has been chipped, or is discolored or malformed. The bonding material is the same tooth-colored composite resin material we use for most fillings. It is available in a variety of shades and we are usually able to get a good color match to the natural tooth. These restorations can last a long time without needing replacement, but of course are vulnerable to breaking off if there is subsequent trauma to the tooth.
